With over 30 years’ experience in family law, Lucia is a leading family lawyer based in North Queensland.
Lucia has a particular expertise in complex property settlements, where she has a track record of resolving matters in a timely manner and achieving effective commercial outcomes for her clients.
Lucia has established a reputation for providing her clients with exceptional advice from the outset, which assists them in making the best decisions at both the start and end of their significant relationships. This extends to all areas of her practice including divorce, parenting matters, binding financial agreements and child support agreements.
Whilst Lucia has successfully managed complex matters in the Family Court and the Federal Circuit Court, she has a keen interest in using mediation and collaborative techniques in resolving matters for her clients.
In addition to her day job, Lucia has been a Senior Counsellor with the Queensland Law Society since 2016 and is a current Board Member for Legal Aid Queensland. From 2017 to 2020, she was a member of the James Cook University Human Research Ethics Committee.
Lucia has held key positions in local community groups including President of the Townsville Community Legal Service, a committee member of Headspace Townsville and is currently a member of the Queensland Community Foundation North Queensland Subcommittee.
When not at work Lucia can be found riding her bike or spending time with her family who have a keen interest in a variety of sports.
